Global Knowledge Offers New Training Course

Global Knowledge, a provider of IT and business training, announced the availability of Installing and Configuring Systems Center Operations Manager 2007, a five-day Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager 2007 training course.
Students will learn how to manage a Systems Center Operations Manager 2007 (SCOM) management group, as well as to install and maintain SCOM servers and supporting roles. The course prepares students for Microsoft Exam 70-400: TS: Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007, Configuring, and incorporates material from the Official Microsoft Learning Product 50028: Installing and Configuring System Center Operations Manager 2007.
Students will learn to:
- Install and configure a management group.
- Install a clustered Root Management Server.
- Install and configure reporting.
- Manage Agentless Exception Monitoring and Audit Collection Services.
- Use Windows PowerShell.
- Migrate from Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 to SCOM.
The course is designed for Windows Server 2003 (or later) administrators who have worked within a Windows Active Directory domain environment and understand Windows Server-based network services. Incoming students should have A+ and Network+ certifications or equivalent knowledge, and they should have completed the Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure course or have equivalent knowledge.
